You're on a website trying to book a flight to New York. At the last moment you have an important question and need to speak to the airline before booking. After working your way through the IVR and waiting, you then have to explain your enquiry from the beginning despite having spent half an hour on the website and already filled in most of the order form. We've all had a similar experience.
The current mechanism we have for providing 'information' about phone calls, Caller ID, hasn't evolved since it was invented by Theodore 'Ted' Paraskevakos over 40 years ago. Given the intervening communication revolution, the accelerating rate of advancement and our dependence on technology, isn't it time to update Ted's original vision?
