How the "Internet of Things" will Change the Way we Connect

The ways in which we communicate our state of mind, our status and our location have dramatically been alterered by the Internet and our phones are no longer the only channel available to do this. As technology gets smaller, more versatile, open source and accessible, we can now communicate by choosing what to wear, where to go and what we eat. This talk will try to uncover some of the hidden opportunities and ethical questions that go hand in hand with a world that is "connected" to us on every level, through paradigms of "the internet of things". I will explore the use of new technology platforms like Arduino, the "techno craft" world created by an ecology of publications like Make magazine and the overall impact on the world of communications.
